Summer Summary (Why I've been so quiet + pictures)

Hey y'all!
So I've sort of dropped off the planet er blogiverse for a little bit, and I wish I had a better explanation for you. The truth is, I've just been lazy.
I haven't been up to much of anything except a few trips to the library, Starbucks, and church.

But excitement is coming! I just know it! In exactly 5 days, 22 hours, and 5 minutes, I'll be moving into my new dorm room!
I can't wait! When I get it nice and decorated, I'll do a Dorm Tour post!
And since I'm working on cleaning out my closet to get ready, I'll probably do a Closet Tour post later this week! I can't wait for y'all to see them! Since I don't really have anything else to share with you (sad face), please enjoy these pictures from my summer:

The summer kicked off with a road trip to Dallas for the Taylor Swift concert with one of my best friends and our moms!

Our 5th Taylor concert!
My Momma Bear loved her sign.
We met the band Florida Georgia Line when we were roaming around the Dallas Cowboy Stadium gift shop!
See the seats at the very top (next to the lights). That's directly across from us.
3 rows from the very top.
We used binoculars. Super handy dandy. (Please excuse my frizzy Texas-heat+rain hair. )

When I got back it was time to get ready for New York City!

I could do a whole post on this trip (I probably will one day), so I'll spare you with just a few pictures for now.

My nanny (which means godmother here in the south) gave me a weeklong trip with her and her daughter as a graduation present!

We saw shows (Wicked & Annie; HIGHLY RECOMMEND), shopped, saw the sights, and ate some yummy food!
If you'd like to see more of my New York pictures right this second, I have a bunch on my Instagram

Then I came back for a weeklong mission trip (in my hometown).

If you've never experienced the joy that comes from helping others who can't help themselves, you should really look into volunteering. I was a mentor in a mission that was held at my own church, which shows that you don't have to travel to far away countries to help people. People need help here, too. Plus, I made a bunch of new friends! (not sure how'd they feel about my putting their pictures on here, so I give you permission to stalk my insta if you really want to see them).

Then Momma Bear and I had a weekend getaway to Perdido Key, FL.

We didn't let one day of rain stop us from having a good time, either! Can you say "outlet mall shopping"?

Throw in Starbucks frappucinos, random drives in the Jeep with the radio blaring (can't wait for Luke Bryan's new album!), a few dates with friends, mindless hours spent planning for the future, and you'll have my summer.

Truthfully, I can't wait until school starts! My new backpack came in on Friday and I spent most of the day packing and unpacking it with school supplies.

What did you do this summer? And who else is ready for school to start?
