Catching Fire (A Midnight Extravaganza!)

As the title suggests, I went to the midnight premiere of Catching Fire a few weeks ago! (Not quite as exciting, because apparently there were also 8, 9, 10, and 11 o'clock showings as well.)
But with a midnight premiere on my 20 before 20, I knew we had to see it at 12!

Aside from having to study for a biology exam after the show (my first #allnighter of college! Made an A, too!), I absolutely LOVED Catching Fire! Maybe even more than I liked The Hunger Games. I was so glad the cinematography wasn't so shaky this time, because I got a little motion sick watching the first one. This sequel was a little more emotional than I remember the book being, too. I caught myself tearing up a few times.

Bottom line: I 100% recommend seeing this movie!!! (I also highly recommend reading the books!)

I love book-turned-movies, and sometimes pick which book I'm going to read next based on which movies are being made at the time.

What about y'all? Read any good books or seen some great movies lately?

  1. I felt as if they missed quite a few things in catching fire. All movies tend to disappoint me a bit, the books is always better :)

    1. I agree! I almost always prefer the book to its movie, although the movies are usually nice in their own way. I guess I didn't notice the differences as much with Catching Fire because it's been so long since I read it last!
