DIY: Monogram Wallpaper via Photoshop

One of my more popular posts on my Tumblr was this picture of my laptop. I love monograms and I think Lilly Pulitzer prints are super fun and summery so this is perfect for my summer wallpaper!

I had lots of requests for a tutorial, so I made a video and posted it to YouTube!
If you have Adobe Photoshop and want to try to make one of these, it's your lucky day!

Please excuse my voice and my mispronunciation of Lilly Pulitzer...

If I'm not clear enough, or you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask!

And if you'd like for me to make a monogram wallpaper for you, I'd love to! Just comment below :)

Top Five Tunes

I'm always listening to music, and it's always different (presets on my satellite radio are The Highway-country, Hits One-pop, Coffee House Rock-acoustic/indie, Sinatra-jazz, and Broadway-show tunes). I've amassed a pretty large iTunes library since I got my first iPod on my twelfth birthday. Seven years and two iPods later, I still love Taylor Swift and Kenny Chesney, but my musical horizons have broadened.

My Top 5 Right now include:

Honorable Mentions: Florida Georgia Line and Ed Sheeran.

Do yourself a favor and check out some of this music if you haven't already.

What are some of your favorite songs right now?

Dorm Excitement!

I've been living the lazy girl's dream this summer. Even though I love going on adventures and doing exciting things (trips to NYC and the beach were particularly fun this summer), I'm also perfectly content to sit on my queen-sized bed and watch movies all day. Side note- The only thing I'm not looking forward to is switching to a twin-sized bed.

But all good things must come to an end, and, between you and me, this summer is starting to get a little boring anyway.

So in exactly 18 days, 16 hours, and 35 minutes, I'll be moving into a little dorm room, meeting my roommate for the first time, and starting the next chapter of my life. My goodness, that sounds rather exciting, doesn't it?

These last few days have been filled with dorm shopping, too! I've already bought a bedspread (seersucker, my favorite!), sheets, towels, a hamper, a shoe organizer, and some other neat essentials.

I've even painted some cute pictures to hang (with command strips I guess?)! My city love is showing again...

The dorm I'll be living in is fairly new, private (as in my roommate and I share a bathroom and a hallway, but have our own doors to separate rooms) and it even comes with a mini fridge and microwave right in our room! Another plus is that my house is only ten minutes from campus so I can visit home as often or as little as I want.

I follow Carly of TheCollegePrepster.com and she's got some great tips and stories, plus her site is so cute!

Is there anything that you think I should get to make dorm life a little easier or more fun? Any advice?
